Is A Giant Inflatable Outdoor Christmas Decoration Going To Far?

Even as a self confessed Christmas fanatic, my initial answer to the question in the headline would be "yes, a giant inflatable outdoor Christmas decoration is probably going a bit to far". Then last year, I went out and bought one. You may have seen it. It's the one with all the Peanuts characters inside. It was perfect for my theme last year of Christmas cartoon characters.

Who's ready for the holidays? I am not so sure that I am. This is basically due the fact that my mother in-law will be around. Dear god that woman is annoying. Each and every year I have to listen to her ramble on about money and how she doesn't have enough. Then I have to endure her ridiculous suggestions regarding a new BMW. If you looking for great Christmas gift ideas, this certainly is a doozy. Get this, she actually expects us to buy one for her. Like we don't already have the standard American debt to grapple with on a daily basis.

Anyway, aside from her company, Christmas can be a fun and exciting holiday. I enjoy the family gathers, the ongoing decorating, and the oodles of eggnog. But as for my inflatable outdoor Christmas decoration, it will probably remain in storage this year. Not because I don't like it, it just won't fit with my manger theme this year.

Are you one of those folks who go all-out with the Christmas decorations? Do you resort to massive inflatable outdoor Christmas decoration scenes? My neighbor does this every year. The first time I spotted it, I was a little taken back. However, as years passed by, I soon realized that he was that guy. Yeah, I think every neighborhood has that guy. Now, I'm not going to say that it could be a woman as well, because I've never seen a woman like this. It's always a man who is trying to compete with the entire neighborhood on each holiday. They pull out the life-size Santa Clause and sleigh of reindeer, the inflatable outdoor Christmas decoration sets, the ginormous tree with all the decorations, and much more. It's basically laid out across their lawn. This way every single person who drives by feels shame regarding their own decorations. Is this sounding familiar yet? Yeah, I thought so. My neighbor even does this on Halloween. So in place of the inflatable outdoor Christmas decoration, he has two conspicuous spiders in a web the size of a Hummer.

When it comes to a great inflatable outdoor Christmas decoration, you can search pretty much anywhere. Try Lowe's or Home Depot. These giant home stores offer all sorts of Christmas decorations. You can also turn to the web for an incomparable selection of decorations for any holiday season.

Just a couple of suggestions. Try to keep it within the theme of your Christmas decorating. And don't overdo it. More than one of these gigantic things looks more tacky than festive. You've no doubt heard the saying "everything in moderation". This certainly applies to your outdoor Christmas decorations as well.
