Why An Artificial Christmas Tree Looks Better Every Year

Oh artificial Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, how lovely are thy branches? OK so I added a word, but you get the idea. Fake Christmas trees get better looking every year. More...real. Perhaps we should add another verse about convenience, and simplicity. Our lives are difficult enough without having the trouble that a live Christmas tree brings.

Anyway, as you already know, that wonderful Christmas season is on the way. Although it may seem like we just did the holiday thing, it is right upon us once more. Time flies folks. So, what are you doing for this gleeful Christmas season? Are you sticking around the old homestead and decking it out with millions of lights, statues, props, and nativity scenes? This sounds like a blast. Maybe you can finally beat that neighbor's dazzling array.

Maybe I sound a little cynical here, and perhaps I am. It just seems that sometimes the Christmas spirit gets lost in a sea of commercialism. It wasn't like that when I was a kid. Or maybe it was but I just didn't notice. And maybe if we had our own children still at home I would feel different.

Okay, now for the big question; is it going to be an artificial Christmas tree or a live tree? Am I getting ahead of myself here? Now as a grumpy old man I still put up a tree every year, but sometimes I wonder why.

When it comes to Christmas, the tree is always a big deal. Do you even know the reason we prop a decorated tree up in our living rooms? In all honesty it has nothing to do with Christianity like many people assume. In fact, it might even be related back to the pagans. Okay, you probably didn't want to here that, but it is a tradition worth checking into. Knowledge is power, folks.

Regardless, we all love to get that tree up and decorated each and every year. I think many of us have it up by the beginning of December. What can we say? We love the holidays. Personally I prefer an artificial Christmas tree. Now, I know what you're thinking. How could I possibly prefer an artificial Christmas tree over the real deal. I'm glad you asked. Well, it comes down to a few basic things. Number one; you don't have to deal with the yearly routine of going out and paying some jacked up cost for a tree that's going to die soon. Number two; you don't have to deal with clean-up when you have an artificial Christmas tree. And number three; you don't have to dispose of the tree after Christmas is done. Not to mention an artificial Christmas tree is less likely to catch on fire. Ah ha, you didn't think of that one did you?

If you are looking for a nice artificial Christmas tree to celebrate this holiday season, then you may want to check out Lowe's or Home Depot. These massive stores typically offer a variety. Or you can search online for an even greater selection. Oh and don't forget that with an artificial Christmas tree you'll already have one the following years as well.

I'll take off my cynical hat for a moment and remind you that life is best enjoyed when it is simple. And nothing simplifies the holiday season as much as having an artificial, perhaps even a prelit Christmas tree. And for even further simplicity, did you know you can get an already decorated Christmas tree.
